In Ambedkar Konaseema district the demand for Atreyapuram Puthareks is not all. They have special recognition in Telugu states. These Atreyapuram Puthareks will soon get geographical recognition. District Collector Himansu Shukla will release the geographical identification gazette notification to Sardar Cotton Putarekula Sangam in next four months.
In this order, Makireddy Manoj of Damodar Sanjeevaiah Law University, the President of Atrepuram Putareku Association and the Collector together with the members of the association gave a geographical general regarding the Putarekus. The people of Atreyapuram are expressing their happiness as the Puthareks, which have a history of 400 years, are getting international recognition.

అంబేద్కర్ కోనసీమ జిల్లాలో ఆత్రేయపురం పూతరేకులకున్న డిమాండ్‌ అంతాఇంతా కాదు. తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో వీటికి ప్రత్యేక గుర్తింపు ఉంది. ఈ ఆత్రేయపురం పూతరేకులకు త్వరలో భౌగోళిక గుర్తింపు దక్కనుంది. సర్దార్ కాటన్ పూతరేకుల సంఘంకు మరో నాలుగు నెలల్లో భౌగోళిక గుర్తింపు గెజిట్ నోటిఫికేషన్‌ను జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ హిమాన్సు శుక్ల విడుదల చేయనున్నారు.
ఈ క్రమంలో దామోదర్ సంజీవయ్య న్యాయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాన్ని చెందిన మాకిరెడ్డి మనోజ్ ఆత్రెపురం పూతరేకుల సంఘం అధ్యక్షులు, సంఘ సభ్యులు కలెక్టర్‌ను కలిసి పూతరేకులకు సంబంధించి భౌగోళిక జనరల్ అందించారు. 400ల సంవత్సరాల చరిత్ర కలిగిన పూతరేకులకు అంతర్జాతీయ గుర్తింపు రావడంతో ఆత్రేయపురం ప్రజలు ఆనందం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.
