It is known that due to heavy rains, the government has announced school holidays for all schools across Telangana state till Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Educational institutions were partially damaged in many places due to heavy rains. The MEOs also told the DEOs that the rainwater has entered the rooms, and in some places, there is rain coming from the roofs, and it is a danger if there are students in the class. It is said that the flood water is still stored in the premises of some schools and there is a danger of slipping if the students run.

In some schools, there is a danger of current flowing through the electrical boards due to the presence of water in the walls. In this context, will it resume from today (Monday)? The officials are debating not being able to take any decision on the matter. Will the holidays be extended in view of the rains still falling in some areas? They are not able to take any decision. The government has directed the authorities to review the current situation. Officials of some districts say that it is not good to open schools at this time.

On the other hand, even though holidays have been announced for schools, some private schools are conducting classes even on holidays. Teachers say that the teaching of government school students is already lagging due to various reasons and it is not appropriate to extend the holidays. They are questioning whether it will be a loss if alternative arrangements are made only in those schools which are dangerous. We have to wait and see if the government takes a decision on this.

భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా గురు, శుక్ర, శనివారాల వరకు అన్ని పాఠశాలలకు ప్రభుత్వం సెలవులు ప్రకటించిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా పలుచోట్ల విద్యాసంస్థలు పాక్షికంగా దెబ్బతిన్నాయి. అలాగే గదుల్లోకి వర్షపు నీరు చేరిందని, కొన్ని చోట్ల పైకప్పు నుంచి వర్షం కురుస్తోందని, తరగతిలో విద్యార్థులు ఉంటే ప్రమాదమని ఎంఈఓలు డీఈఓలకు తెలిపారు. ఇప్పటికీ కొన్ని పాఠశాలల ఆవరణలో వరద నీరు నిల్వ ఉండడంతో విద్యార్థులు పరుగులు తీస్తే జారిపోయే ప్రమాదం ఉందని వాపోతున్నారు.

కొన్ని పాఠశాలల్లో గోడలకు నీరు చేరి విద్యుత్‌ బోర్డుల్లోంచి కరెంట్‌ పారుతున్న ప్రమాదం ఉంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో నేటి (సోమవారం) నుంచి పునఃప్రారంభమవుతుందా? అనే అంశంపై అధికారులు ఎలాంటి నిర్ణయం తీసుకోలేకపోతున్నారని చర్చించుకుంటున్నారు. కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో ఇంకా వర్షాలు కురుస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో సెలవులు పొడిగిస్తారా? ఎలాంటి నిర్ణయం తీసుకోలేకపోతున్నారు. ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితిని సమీక్షించాలని అధికారులను ప్రభుత్వం ఆదేశించింది. ఈ సమయంలో పాఠశాలలు తెరవడం మంచిది కాదని కొన్ని జిల్లాల అధికారులు చెబుతున్నారు.

మరోవైపు పాఠశాలలకు సెలవులు ప్రకటించినా.. కొన్ని ప్రైవేట్ పాఠశాలలు సెలవుల్లో కూడా తరగతులు నిర్వహిస్తున్నాయి. వివిధ కారణాలతో ఇప్పటికే ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలల విద్యార్థుల బోధన వెనుకబడి ఉందని, సెలవులు పొడిగించడం సరికాదని ఉపాధ్యాయులు అంటున్నారు. ప్రమాదకరంగా ఉన్న పాఠశాలల్లోనే ప్రత్యామ్నాయ ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తే నష్టమేంటని ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. మరి ప్రభుత్వం దీనిపై నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంటుందో లేదో వేచి చూడాలి.
