Online applications for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET 2025) will begin today. The Education Department has announced that online applications will be accepted from April 15. Interested candidates can apply from today.

Hyderabad, April 15: The notification for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET 2025) was released on April 11 (Friday). As promised during the election campaign, the Revanth government has issued the first session of the TET notification for this year, as they plan to conduct the TET exam twice a year. The online applications will begin today, and the Education Department has confirmed that applications will be accepted until April 30. Interested candidates can apply on the official website.

The TET written exam will be conducted from June 15 to June 30 in an online mode, with two shifts each day. The first shift will be from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and the second shift will be from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Each session will be conducted for 2.5 hours.

The TET exam consists of two papers. Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5. These candidates must have passed the intermediate exams with 50% marks and completed a two-year Diet course. Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates should have a degree with at least 50% marks and should have completed either a B.Ed. or Special B.Ed. Candidates from reserved categories can pass with 45% marks. To appear for the DSC recruitment exam, candidates must qualify in the TET exam. The TET exam will carry a 20% weightage for the DSC recruitment process. This is why a large number of candidates compete every time the TET exam is conducted.

Candidates applying for Paper 1 or Paper 2 need to pay a registration fee of Rs. 750. For candidates applying for both papers, the fee is Rs. 1000. Unemployed candidates who have completed D.Ed or B.Ed, as well as newly appointed service teachers, will also be appearing for the TET exam. For them, clearing the TET exam is mandatory to be eligible for promotions. There is no negative marking in the TET exam, and candidates will need to answer all the multiple-choice questions.
