In the Husainapuram village of Banaganapalle Mandal, Nandyal district, an incident of mishap occurred at the Mandal Parishad Primary School. During the middle of the day on Wednesday, students in a classroom were affected by a gas leak. The incident unfolded when some students fell unconscious due to the gas leak.
The deteriorating condition of the school building had led to the conduction of classes in the same building. On Wednesday afternoon, during the lunch break, students went outside the classrooms. Amidst that time, a loud noise was heard, and the ceiling of a classroom collapsed. Several large chunks fell on the bags of the students.
At that time, no students were harmed due to the immediate evacuation. In total, there are 38 children in the primary school. Approximately 28 students were present in the middle school class on Wednesday. During the mishap, all the students rushed out for safety, resulting in a chaotic situation.
The school building was approved for repairs at a cost of Rs. 12.5 lakhs, which I sanctioned today. However, the work had not yet commenced. The incident was reported to the Gram Sarpanch Varalakshmi, teachers, and the parents of the students, who demanded action against the authorities.

పాఠశాల భవనం శిథిలావస్థకు చేరుకోవడంతో అదే భవనంలో తరగతులు నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. బుధవారం మధ్యాహ్నం భోజన విరామ సమయంలో విద్యార్థులు తరగతి గదుల నుంచి బయటకు వెళ్లారు. ఆ సమయంలో పెద్ద శబ్ధం రావడంతో తరగతి గది పైకప్పు కూలిపోయింది. విద్యార్థుల బ్యాగులపై అనేక పెద్ద ముక్కలు పడ్డాయి.
ఆ సమయంలో వెంటనే తరలించడంతో విద్యార్థులెవరికీ ఎలాంటి ప్రమాదం జరగలేదు. ప్రాథమిక పాఠశాలలో మొత్తం 38 మంది పిల్లలు ఉన్నారు. బుధవారం మధ్య పాఠశాల తరగతికి సుమారు 28 మంది విద్యార్థులు హాజరయ్యారు.
ప్రమాదం సమయంలో, విద్యార్థులందరూ భద్రత కోసం బయటకు పరుగులు తీయడంతో గందరగోళ పరిస్థితి నెలకొంది. పాఠశాల భవనం మరమ్మతులకు రూ. 12.5 లక్షలు, నేను ఈరోజు మంజూరు చేశాను. అయితే ఇంతవరకు పనులు ప్రారంభం కాలేదు. ఈ ఘటనపై గ్రామ సర్పంచ్ వరలక్ష్మి, ఉపాధ్యాయులు, విద్యార్థుల తల్లిదండ్రులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేయగా అధికారులపై చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని కోరారు.
