వంగవీటి మోహన రంగా.. ఆలియస్‌ రంగా.. తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో ఈ పేరు తెలియనివాళ్లుండరు. ఒక్కసారి మాత్రమే ఎమ్మెల్యేగా పనిచేసినా.. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ రాజకీయాల్లో ప్రకంపనలు సృష్టించారని చెప్పొచ్చు. అందుకే ఆయన చనిపోయి 35 ఏళ్ళు గడచినా రంగా పేరు మాత్రం ఏపీలో మారుమోగుతూనే ఉంది.
ముఖ్యంగా ఎన్నికల వేళ ఆయన పేరు తలచుకుంటూ రాజకీయ పార్టీలు రంగాను తమ వాడిగా చెప్పుకునేందుకు ప్రయత్నిస్తుంటాయి. ఈసారి అయితే వంగవీటి రంగా జయంతి మరీ ప్రత్యేకమని చెప్పొచ్చు. ఎందుకంటే.. ఏపీలో అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికలకు మరో ఏడాది కూడా వ్యవధి లేదు. దాంతోపాటు ఈసారి ఎన్నికల్లో కాపులు నిర్ణయాత్మకమైన భూమికను పోషించబోతున్నట్లు ప్రచారం జరుగుతోంది.
ఈ క్రమంలోనే.. ఏపీ వ్యాప్తంగా రంగా జయంతి కార్యక్రమాలు భారీ ఎత్తున నిర్వహించేందుకు రంగం సిద్ధం చేశాయి ప్రధాన పార్టీలు. టీడీపీ, జనసేనతోపాటు వైసీపీ కూడా పెద్ద ఎత్తున రంగా జయంతిని నిర్వహించబోతోంది. అటు.. బీజేపీ కూడా రంగాను తలచుకుంటోంది. వైసీపీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో విజయవాడ తుమ్మలపల్లి కళా క్షేత్రంలో రంగా జయంతి వేడుకలకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేశారు. అటు.. జనసేన తమకు అన్ని కులాలు సమానమేనని చెబుతున్నా కాపులు ఆ పార్టీని దాదాపుగా ఓన్ చేసుకున్నారనే టాక్ ఉంది.
కాపులు ఈసారి రాజ్యాధికారాన్ని చేపట్టాలన్న డిమాండ్ అంతకంతకు పెరుగుతుండటంతో పాటు, దానికి.. రంగా జయంతి వేడుకలను ప్లాట్‌ఫామ్‌ చేసుకునే అవకాశాలు కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. మరోవైపు.. కీలకమైన కాపు నేతలు టీడీపీలోనే ఉన్నారు. దాంతో.. తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ తరపున కూడా రంగా జయంతి వేడుకలు గట్టిగానే నిర్వహించేందుకు కార్యచరణ రూపొందించినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. మొత్తంగా.. రంగా జయంతి వేడుకలు ఏపీలో రాజకీయంగా కాక పుట్టిస్తున్నాయి.
