Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam program at Tirumala Srivari Temple was organized by TTD in a scientific way. On the 17th of this month, during the Anivara Asthanam in Srivari Temple, the temple cleaning program was undertaken.
Koil Alwar organized thirumanjanam from 6 am to 11 am. TTD EO Dharma Reddy along with Jiyars, Governing Council members, TTD officials and priests participated in Koil Alwar Thirumanjana.
Koil Aalwar Thirumanjanam was conducted according to the Sanctorum by cleaning the sanctum sanctorum of Srivari temple and cleaning the temple walls with ointment prepared with aromatic perfumes. Every year, it is customary to organize a temple cleaning program called Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam on the next Tuesday before Anivara Asthanam.
The Swami was completely covered with a new cloth and the sanctum sanctorum and the pooja paraphernalia were purified with anointment of spices. TTD believes that by anointing the temple walls with the holy perfume mixture prepared last night, there will be no problem from insects, which is a thousand-year-old practice.
This tradition is being continued as part of this. From 6 am to 11 am, the temple cleaning program was undertaken. After performing special pujas to the Swami, the devotees were invited to have a darshan.
