Madhan, who studied up to fifth standard, is ready to join a private English medium school for sixth standard. For that, the mother brought Garividi from her hometown Kandipet. విజయనగరం జిల్లాలో విషాదం చోటు చేసుకుంది. గరివిడి డిగ్రీ కాలేజ్ సమీపంలో రోడ్డు ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. సైకిల్ పై వెళ్తున్న ఇద్దరు చిన్నారులను కారు బలంగా డీకొట్టింది.. ఈ ప్రమాదంలో పన్నెండేళ్ల సారిక మధన్ అక్కడిక్కడే మృతి చెందగా, మరో చిన్నారి స్వప్న తీవ్ర గాయాలతో ఆసుపత్రి పాలైంది.. ప్రమాద సమయంలో మధన్ తల్లి కూడా అక్కడే ఉంది.. తల్లి కళ్లేదుటే ప్రమాదంలో కుమారుడు మధన్ విలవిలలాడుతూ మృతి చెందాడు.. ఈ ఘటన చూసి తల్లి అక్కడిక్కడే కుప్పకూలి పోయింది.

మధన్ కడుపులో ఉన్న సమయంలోనే తండ్రి ప్రమాదవశాత్తు మరణించాడు.. అప్పటి నుండి మధన్ ను అంతా తానై కంటికి రెప్పలా పెంచుకుంది తల్లి. ఏ లోటు లేకుండా చూసింది. అడిగింది కాదు అనకుండా అల్లారుముద్దుగా పెంచింది. ఐదవ తరగతి వరకు చదువుకున్న మధన్ ను ఆరవ తరగతి కోసం ఓ ప్రవేట్ ఇంగ్లీష్ మీడియం స్కూల్ లో జాయిన్ చేసేందుకు సిద్దమైంది. అందుకోసం తన సొంత ఊరు కందిపేట నుండి గరివిడి తీసుకువచ్చింది తల్లి. అనుకున్నట్లే స్కూల్ లో జాయిన్ చేసింది.
 మధన్ తో పాటు సోదరి వరుస అయిన సంతోషి కూడా వచ్చింది.

స్కూల్‌లో జాయిన్ అయిన తరువాత తల్లి నడిచి వస్తుండగా స్వప్న, మధన్ ఇద్దరు సైకిల్ పై వస్తున్నారు.. ఇంతలోనే ఎదురుగా వస్తున్న కారు సైకిల్ ను బలంగా ఢీకొట్టింది.. అక్కడే ఉన్న తల్లి పెద్దగా అరుస్తూ కొడుకును కాపాడుకునేందుకు పరుగులు పెట్టింది. అయినా ప్రయోజనం లేక కళ్ళ ముందే చివరి శ్వాస విడిచాడు మధన్.. విధి కన్నెర్ర చేయడంతో భర్త లేక, కొడుకు ఇప్పుడు మృత్యువాత పడటంతో ఎవరూ లేని అనాధగా మారింది ఆ తల్లి.. శోక సముద్రంలో మునిగిన తల్లిని ఓదార్చడం ఎవరి తరం కాలేదు.. ఈ ఘటన అందరినీ కలిచి వేసింది..
