It has been five years since the start of metro rail services in Hyderabad this month. With this, the Center has appointed a three-member committee on the request of the L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail Company and the state. This committee, which met in Hyderabad at the end of October, has requested in a statement to give their opinions and suggestions regarding the revision of the current charges by November 15. Metro sources say that the entire process will have to be completed in three months.

The metro, which carries lakhs of passengers daily, has been running the same fare since its inception. L&T officials say that the time has come to revise the charges. There will be an increase in charges based on the report given by the committee. If the metro fares increase, there are chances that the passengers will face difficulties. But it seems that there will be concessions as well.

రోజూ ల‌క్షలాది మంది ప్రయాణికులు రాకపోకలు సాగించే మెట్రో.. ప్రారంభ‌మైన‌ప్పటి నుంచి ఒక‌టే ఛార్జీల‌ు అమ‌లవుతున్నాయి. దీంతో ఛార్జీలను సవరించే తరుణం వచ్చిందంటున్నారు ఎల్ అండ్ టీ అధికారులు. క‌మిటీ ఇచ్చిన నివేదిక ఆధారంగా ఛార్జీల పెరుగుద‌ల ఉండ‌నుంది. మెట్రో ఛార్జీలు పెరిగితే ప్రయాణికులు ఇబ్బందులు ప‌డే అవ‌కాశాలు ఉన్నాయి. అయితే అందుకు తగినట్లే రాయితీలు కూడా ఉంటాయని తెలుస్తోంది.
