The IPL season begins today, and tight security arrangements have been made for matches in Hyderabad. Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu stated that 2,700 police personnel have been deployed for security. In addition, 450 CCTV cameras have been installed inside and outside the stadium to monitor the situation.
Fans are not allowed to carry certain items into the stadium. Prohibited items include laptops, banners, water bottles, cameras, cigarettes, umbrellas, electronic gadgets, matchboxes, lighters, sharp objects, binoculars, pens, batteries, helmets, perfumes, bags, and outside food. Security checks will be strict at the entry points.
For the convenience of spectators, metro rail services will run until midnight after the match. The stadium has a seating capacity of 39,000. The first IPL match in Hyderabad will be held tomorrow (Sunday) between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals.
