Hyderabad, October 23: On Monday, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya convened a coordination meeting with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to discuss preparations for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections scheduled for November 30.
These collaborating forces will join the city police in fulfilling various election-related responsibilities. Shandilya provided them with details about critical polling stations, the roles of flying squads, and emphasized the swift deployment of their companies at crucial locations.
Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were directed to arrange suitable accommodations and coordinate their efforts effectively. The city's top police official also stressed the importance of exercising caution at checkpoints to minimize any inconvenience to the public.
In a similar vein, Rachakonda Police Commissioner D. S. Chauhan held a meeting with CAPF, where seven companies were deployed to support Rachakonda police personnel during the elections, with the possibility of additional central forces being deployed in the future.
Both the central forces and Rachakonda police personnel will conduct parade-like flag marches in numerous constituencies within the commissionerate. Chauhan highlighted the binding over of criminals as a precautionary measure and the intensified checks to prevent illegal activities such as the transportation of unaccounted cash and other items.
