Actress Payal Rajput Speaks Up About Nepotism in the Film Industry
Actress Payal Rajput, famous for her roles in films like RX100, RDX Love, and Mangalvaaram, has shared her thoughts on the issue of nepotism in the film industry. On April 1, she expressed concerns on social media about how nepotism and favoritism often overshadow real talent in the industry.
Payal shared, "Being an actor is one of the hardest jobs. Every day, I face uncertainty as I step into an industry where talent often takes a back seat to nepotism and favoritism."
She also mentioned how at times she has doubted whether her hard work would get recognized in an industry where people with famous names or strong connections often get the best opportunities. "There are moments when I wonder if my hard work will ever shine in a world ruled by privilege. I see opportunities going to those with powerful agents or famous last names, and I question if my talent is enough to break through," she said.
With her post, Payal highlighted that nepotism is a real issue in the industry, using the hashtag #StruggleIsReal.
Currently, Payal is busy with multiple projects. One of them is the Telugu film VenkataLachimi, which will be released in three languages: Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. She announced in January that filming would begin in February.
Payal is also starring in a Tamil film with Legend Saravanan, directed by R.S. Durai Senthilkumar. The film promises to deliver an action-packed experience, set against the backdrop of real events in Thoothukudi, Saravanan’s hometown.
The film features other stars like Shaam and Andrea in important roles. The music for the film will be composed by Gibran, with cinematography by S. Venkatesh and editing by Pradeep.
