Hot Weather & Rising Temperatures

The scorching sun continues to raise temperatures, making people uncomfortable. The Disaster Management Department has issued an important update about the weather for the next three days. According to MD Ronanki Kurmanath, temperatures will remain below 40°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Rain & Thunderstorms Expected in Some Areas

On Thursday (April 3, 2025), light showers with thunderstorms are expected in Alluri Sitarama Raju, Prakasam, and Rayalaseema districts. By Friday, moderate rainfall with thunderstorms may occur in parts of Rayalaseema, Alluri Sitarama Raju, and Parvathipuram Manyam districts. Farmers, agricultural workers, and shepherds are advised to avoid open areas, trees, poles, and towers during thunderstorms.

Strong Winds & Precautions

Strong winds (heatwaves) are likely to affect 23 mandals, including Srikakulam (6), Vizianagaram (5), Parvathipuram Manyam (7), Alluri Sitarama Raju (3), and East Godavari (2) on Thursday. Stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight, and follow safety precautions.
