Minister Nara Lokesh Facilitates Heart Transport via Green Channel

Minister Nara Lokesh played an instrumental role in helping transport a heart from Guntur to Tirupati using the Green Channel. This initiative was carried out with the cooperation of the family of Cherukuri Sushma, who was declared brain-dead. Sushma's family stepped forward for organ donation, and the heart was successfully transported to Tirupati for a recipient in need.

When the management of Ramesh Hospital in Guntur requested Minister Nara Lokesh's help to transport the heart, he immediately arranged a special flight. The heart was first transported from Guntur to Gannavaram airport, then to Renigunta, and finally reached Tirupati Hospital. Throughout the process, Minister Lokesh ensured the establishment of a Green Channel to ensure the timely transport of the heart.

On this occasion, Sushma's husband, Srinivas, shared that his wife fell into a coma due to health issues. After consultation with doctors, the family decided to donate her organs. They felt this donation could bring life and hope to others in need. Srinivas thanked Minister Nara Lokesh for his support in ensuring the heart reached the recipient in Tirupati.
