Telangana Government Introduces Mobile-Friendly Driving License Renewal System

The Telangana government has made the process of renewing a driving license easier and more convenient. From now on, there’s no need to visit RTA offices or deal with middlemen. Citizens can apply for license renewal directly through their mobile phones.

To get started, users must visit the Transport Department's official website. On the homepage, click on the ‘License’ option, and then select ‘Driving License’. This will open a new page where users need to click on the ‘Renewal of Driving License’ link.

Next, click on ‘Click here to book the slot’. A form will appear where you’ll need to enter details such as:

• Driving License Number

• Issuing RTA Office

• Date of Birth

• Mobile Number

Then, click on ‘Request OTP’. After entering the OTP received on your mobile and the CAPTCHA code, click ‘Get Details’. Your license details will appear on the screen. Verify the details and then click ‘Confirm’.

After confirmation, a new window will appear showing available appointment dates. Choose a convenient date and proceed with the online payment. Once the payment is successful, your slot will be booked.

Print the confirmation receipt and carry it along with your original driving license and ID proof to the selected RTA office on the appointment date. Officials will verify your documents, and your driving license will be renewed.
