Rating: 2/5

Cast: Vikram, Dushara Vijayan, SJ Surya, Prithviraj, Sooraj Venjaramoodu
Music: GV Prakash Kumar

Release Date: April 24, 2025

Story:

Kaali (Vikram), a small-time grocery store owner, lives peacefully with his wife Vani (Dushara Vijayan) and two children in a village near town. In the same region, Ravi (Prithviraj) is a politically influential figure, with his son Kannan (Sooraj Venjaramoodu) acting as his right hand.

When a mother and child go missing, Kannan becomes the prime suspect. Arun Giri (SJ Surya), the new SP, sees this case as a way to bring Ravi under control. Ravi, sensing danger, turns to Kaali—who once worked for him—and asks him to eliminate the SP.

Why does Kaali agree? What’s the connection between Kaali and Ravi? Will Arun Giri succeed in his mission? These questions drive the plot forward.

Analysis:

The title "Veera Dheera Sooran" hints at a powerful lead character and intense action. While the action is present, the story lacks clarity. The motivations behind the hero’s actions remain unclear, making the narrative feel confusing.

The film teases viewers with the hope of a twist, but the payoff is underwhelming. The screenplay feels disjointed, and the characters—especially the antagonists—aren’t well fleshed out, despite having strong actors like Prithviraj and SJ Surya.

Technical Aspects:

The cinematography by Theni Eswar is decent. GV Prakash Kumar’s background score is passable. Editing by Prasanna feels average, with some abrupt transitions.

Overall:

Vikram once again chooses an experimental role, but this time, the execution doesn’t land well. A weak screenplay and unclear storytelling make it hard for audiences to stay fully engaged.
