Liquor shops in the twin cities will be closed from 6 am on 17th of this month to 6 pm on 16th on the occasion of Bonala festival.  As the devotees were attending on a large scale, the police set up a huge bando bastu. A special control room has been set up at Mahankali PS to review the situation from time to time. The control room was connected to the police command control room and surveillance of CCTV cameras was increased. Officials estimate that around 5 lakh people will submit bonas.
