Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has announced plans to strengthen the Panchayat Raj system

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan reaffirmed on Wednesday that the Panchayat Raj system, which had been severely weakened during the previous YSRC regime, will be revitalized and strengthened.
During a meeting with Muthukur Sarpanch Buduru Lakshmi, accompanied by Sarvepalle MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy at the State Assembly, serious allegations were raised. Lakshmi, belonging to the ST community, reported instances of abuse and caste-based discrimination by former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy and other YSRC leaders. She also alleged that her signature had been forged.
Assuring swift action, Pawan Kalyan expressed his concern over the mistreatment of the sarpanch and the forgery of her signature. He emphasized that he had directed the relevant officials to gather all necessary details for a thorough investigation. He pledged to take appropriate legal action against those responsible for both the caste-based insults and the forgery.
"The issue has come to my attention, and we will ensure justice is served," Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan stated, underscoring his commitment to restoring integrity and accountability within the Panchayat Raj framework.
