Revanth Reddy: Grand Seetarama Wedding in Bhadrachalam, CM Presents Sacred Cloths
On the occasion of Sri Ramanavami, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with his family, traveled to Bhadrachalam to attend the grand Seetarama Wedding. Thousands of devotees gathered at the Bhadrachalam temple, where the divine wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita was held with great grandeur.
The wedding ceremony was conducted with Vedic rituals and chants, and CM Revanth Reddy presented sacred clothes to Lord Sita and Lord Rama on behalf of the Telangana government. The temple priests also blessed the Chief Minister and his family. The temple echoed with chants of "Rama Nama" as devotees celebrated the joyous occasion.
The wedding took place at the Mithila Maidan in Bhadrachalam. During the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat, Vedic scholars performed the rituals, and Lord Rama tied the Mangalsutra around Goddess Sita’s neck. Devotees from all parts of the state attended this divine celebration, making it a significant event for the people of Telangana.
Arrangements were made by temple authorities to ensure the comfort of the devotees, including food, drinking water, and medical facilities. The police also ensured strict security measures to prevent any disturbances.
The wedding ceremony began at 9 AM with the Kalyana rituals, followed by the procession of the idols of Sita and Rama at 10 AM. The sacred Mangalsutra, which had three parts—one from Sita’s family, one from her in-laws, and one made by devotee Ramadas—was a highlight of the event.
The Kalyana Muhurat occurred at 12:02 PM, and the Mangalyam ceremony took place amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras. The entire temple reverberated with devotional hymns as the wedding was completed at 12:40 PM.
Thousands of devotees, despite the heat, came from across the Telugu states to witness the grand wedding.
In his speech, CM Revanth Reddy wished that the blessings of Lord Sita and Lord Rama would bring prosperity and happiness to the people of Telangana. He also assured that the government would fully support the development of the Bhadrachalam temple.
In a traditional gesture, TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) presented sacred clothes to the temple. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, along with his family, arrived at the temple to participate in the celebrations and was welcomed by ministers and temple officials.
