The Andhra Pradesh government has made an important decision regarding ration cards. From now on, ration cards will be issued in an ATM card size for better convenience. Minister Nadeendla Manohar announced that the new ration cards will be available starting May 2025, and they will only be issued after completing the e-KYC process.

Key Features of the New Ration Cards:

  • Compact size – Easy to carry, similar to an ATM card.
  • QR Code & Security Features – Enhancing digital verification.
  • Family Updates – Options to add, remove, or split family members.

Minister Manohar explained that once the e-KYC process is complete, the government will finalize the number of new ration cards to be issued.

This decision is part of the AP government’s efforts to modernize ration distribution and improve accessibility for the public. More details on how to apply for the new ration cards will be released soon.
