Another rare disease has come to light in Kerala. A rare case of primary amoebic meningoencephalitis has been reported in Alappuzha district of Kerala state.
A 15-year-old boy from Panavalli is suffering from this disease and is being treated in the hospital. The disease was first reported in 2017 in the Alappuzha Municipality area. After that this disease came to light.
The disease is transmitted by pathogens of the class Amoeba that live freely in water without parasitism.
By bathing in water like canals and ponds, these germs enter the human body through the nose and thin skin and affect the brain severely. Fever, headache, vomiting and dizziness are the main symptoms of this disease, doctors said.
Avoid bathing with contaminated water, washing your face and mouth with unclean water. Because it is the same activities that cause the disease.. Health experts say that it is not good to bathe in flowing water and canals during monsoon. The concerned officials and the DMO of the local hospital informed that water does not stagnate in the vicinity of the house.

కేరళలో మరో అరుదైన వ్యాధి వెలుగులోకి వచ్చింది. కేరళ రాష్ట్రంలోని అలప్పుజా జిల్లాలో ప్రైమరీ అమీబిక్ మెనింగోఎన్సెఫాలిటిస్ అనే అరుదైన కేసు నమోదైంది.
పానవల్లికి చెందిన 15 ఏళ్ల బాలుడు ఈ వ్యాధితో బాధపడుతూ ఆస్పత్రిలో చికిత్స పొందుతున్నాడు. ఈ వ్యాధి మొదటిసారిగా 2017లో అలప్పుజ మున్సిపాలిటీ ప్రాంతంలో నమోదైంది. ఆ తర్వాత ఈ వ్యాధి వెలుగులోకి వచ్చింది.
పరాన్నజీవనం లేకుండా నీటిలో స్వేచ్ఛగా జీవించే అమీబా తరగతికి చెందిన వ్యాధికారక క్రిముల ద్వారా ఈ వ్యాధి వ్యాపిస్తుంది.
కాలువలు, చెరువుల వంటి నీటిలో స్నానం చేయడం వల్ల ఈ సూక్ష్మక్రిములు ముక్కు, సన్నని చర్మం ద్వారా మనిషి శరీరంలోకి ప్రవేశించి మెదడుపై తీవ్ర ప్రభావం చూపుతాయి. జ్వరం, తలనొప్పి, వాంతులు, కళ్లు తిరగడం ఈ వ్యాధి ప్రధాన లక్షణాలని వైద్యులు తెలిపారు.
కలుషిత నీటితో స్నానం చేయడం, అపరిశుభ్రమైన నీటితో మీ ముఖం మరియు నోరు కడగడం మానుకోండి. వ్యాధికి కారణమయ్యే పనులే కాబట్టి.. వర్షాకాలంలో ప్రవహించే నీరు, కాల్వల్లో స్నానం చేయడం మంచిది కాదని ఆరోగ్య నిపుణులు అంటున్నారు. ఇంటి పరిసరాల్లో నీరు నిలవకుండా సంబంధిత అధికారులు, స్థానిక ఆస్పత్రి డీఎంవోకు సమాచారం అందించారు.
