Vijayawada police arrested a young man who studied Inter and became a doctor. A fake doctor who was robbing patients of money by pretending to be a doctor was arrested. 24-year-old Dharmavarapu Jayaram from Rellivalasa village of Poosapatirega mandal of Vizianagaram district studied up to Inter. Later, he worked as a compounder for several years in several hospitals in Visakhapatnam.
Being accustomed to a luxurious life, the salary was not enough and he became a doctor. In this order, he went to Bangalore from Visakhapatnam last month. He reached Vijayawada on the 4th of this month due to a language problem there. He took a room in a private lodge in Krishna Lanka.
He used to go to nearby hospitals and introduce himself as an anesthetist to the patient's relatives. He took the necessary cash from them and fled from there. On the 4th of this month he committed Rs.7500 in Andhra Hospital, Rs.10 thousand in Vijaya Hospital on 5th, Rs.10 thousand in Guntur Hospital on 7th and Rs.4 thousand in American Hospital in the evening. Complaints have been received by the police from the respective hospitals. With this, the police started an investigation and arrested the accused at the bridge on Sunday morning with the help of technology.
