Actor Vijay Files Supreme Court Petition Against Wakf Amendment Act 2025

Actor Vijay Takes Legal Step Against Wakf Amendment Act 2025

Tamil actor and TVK party founder Vijay has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of the Wakf Amendment Act 2025. This comes as part of his growing political activity after launching his political party, TVK, in October last year.

Vijay joins other political figures and parties like Congress and AIMIM who have already filed petitions on this matter. The Supreme Court will hear all related cases on April 16 under the leadership of Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, along with Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice KV Viswanathan.

Initially, the hearing was scheduled for April 15. However, after the central government filed a caveat, the court shifted the hearing to April 16. So far, around ten petitions have been filed, and more are expected to be listed before the three-judge bench.
