Telangana CM Invites Foxconn to Invest in Electric and Battery Sectors

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited the Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT) factory in Kongara Kalan on Monday, urging the Taiwanese electronics manufacturing giant to consider investing in additional industries within Telangana, particularly in the electric and lithium-ion battery sectors. 
During his visit, the chief minister emphasized that Telangana would serve as a “brand ambassador” for Foxconn, pledging the full support of the state government to ensure the timely completion of the project. He reiterated the government's commitment to facilitating both current and future operations for the company in the state.
Foxconn Interconnect Technology CEO and Chairman Sydney Lu joined the meeting via videoconference to discuss the project’s status. The chief minister addressed certain operational issues raised by Foxconn, instructing officials to resolve them promptly.
Revanth Reddy assured Foxconn of all necessary infrastructure support and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to fostering a business-friendly environment that attracts large-scale investments in high-growth sectors. He also encouraged Foxconn representatives to invest in the proposed Fourth City, promising to ensure connectivity through roads and Metro services.
Additionally, Foxconn requested 66 acres of land adjacent to the FIT factory for expansion, to which the chief minister responded positively. He expressed optimism about further investments in Telangana, highlighting the state's conducive environment for high-tech manufacturing and innovation.
The chief minister was accompanied by IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy, Special Chief Secretary for IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan, and other officials.
