After a long hiatus, Tollywood director Bommarillu Bhaskar returns with his latest film Jack. The movie stars DJ Tillu fame Siddhu Jonnalagadda in the lead role, with Baby movie fame Vaishnavi Chaitanya playing the female lead. Designed as a spy action drama, the film generated curiosity well before its release, thanks to an intriguing concept and active promotions by the makers.

Jack was grandly released in theatres on April 10, and has been receiving a mixed response from audiences since the morning shows. Known for his family and romantic dramas, Bhaskar has taken a different route this time by exploring the action-spy genre.

As expected, Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s witty one-liners and sharp comic timing have served as a major highlight for the film. Vaishnavi Chaitanya also impressed once again with her impactful performance. While the film has drawn attention for its genre shift, the audience reception remains mixed.
