On June 23rd of this year, such an incident occurred on the way to Tirumala. On June 23rd, Shireesha and her family from Kondyala, Adoni, in the Kurnool district, arrived at the Tirumala shrine for darshan (pilgrimage). As they were walking up the path along with their five-year-old son Kaushik, at around a mile before reaching their destination, he suddenly suffered a heart attack and collapsed. Despite Kaushik's parents rushing him to the forest and trying to revive him, he passed away. Helpless and distraught, they left the lifeless body and proceeded towards the temple with tears in their eyes.
In the temple premises, young Kaushik's lifeless body was laid to rest. After the tragedy, Kaushik's parents sang a mournful song during his final moments. Following the unsuccessful attempt to revive Kaushik, they took him to a hospital in Tirupati. After the darshan at the temple, they returned home.
Following the tragic incident, TDP (Telugu Desam Party) officials, alarmed by the security and well-being of the devotees, took measures. They provided specific information to the devotees who were walking on the alternate Alipiri route. Special notifications were sent to devotees walking in groups on the Alipiri route, advising them to be cautious. Michael, the Vigilance Authority, issued notices to the devotees about the increased vigilance for their safety. In order to ensure the safety of the devotees, they mentioned that fencing would be set up at critical points.
