Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced good news for government employees. He stated that he will soon implement the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) along with the Interim Relief (IR) for employees. During a meeting with representatives of employee unions, CM KCR assured them of implementing the 2nd PRC and asked employees to be patient until July 1, 2023, when the official announcement will be made.
He expressed his positive response towards the demand. It is expected that the announcement regarding the PRC and IR will be made either today or tomorrow in the assembly. Before the assembly session, Telangana TJAC leaders and representatives of the Telangana government were present in the meeting. KCR responded favorably to questions raised by the PRC and Health Card issues. He provided answers in a reassuring manner, as reported by the media.
After the conclusion of the meeting, the leaders of the employment unions made this statement. They demanded Chief Minister KCR's resignation for his reluctance to engage in talks with the PRC and refusing to provide an interim relief to the employees. CM KCR was also urged to take immediate steps to issue improved health cards to the employees. These points were conveyed by the TN Jeevo leaders in the Assembly.
As a second step, the second PRC was constituted, and from July 1, 2023, the representatives of Telangana employees appealed to CM KCR to announce an increase in pay scales and release the interim relief. They also requested the formation of a special trust to provide better medical services through the Health Bhima for government employees. Additionally, they demanded the withdrawal of the OPS pension scheme and the initiation of measures to replace it with the OES. These requests were made by the representatives of the employees to the Chief Minister.
