Development of the Yadadri temple has paused due to the YTDA becoming inactive under the new government

Under the current Congress government, the Yadadri Temple Development Authority (YTDA), established during the previous BRS regime, has become inactive. This has led to a halt in various developmental projects planned for Yadadri.
Former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao initiated the construction of Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple in 2016, modeled after the Tirupati temple, with a budget of approximately Rs 1,000 crore. The YTDA, led by K Chandrasekhar Rao and vice-chaired by ex-IAS officer K Kishan Rao, oversaw the temple's development until completion in 2022. Subsequently, responsibilities were transferred to the Endowments department, and further actions ceased.
Despite expectations of changes under the new government, including potential replacements within YTDA, no action has been taken. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has yet to review the ongoing development at Yadadri, causing delays in several projects and inconveniences for devotees.
Specifically, construction of 490 cottages near the temple, funded by donations amounting to Rs 14 crore, has been halted. K Kishan Rao expressed hope that the chief minister will soon address the temple's development issues.
Pending projects include Brundavanam Park near Basvapur Reservoir, Sangeet Mandapam, Kalyana Mandapam, Nithyannanda Satram, and arrangements for Swami’s Teppotsavam. However, reviews and funding allocations by YTDA have not occurred under the new government, resulting in pending bills totaling approximately Rs 200 crore.
Additionally, despite donations including 10 kg of gold and Rs 21 crore in cash during the previous government, the gold covering of Yadadri Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple’s gopuram, requiring 97 kg of gold, has yet to commence.
