Ayodhya, October 17: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has accelerated the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
Recent images shared by the trust on social media showcase significant progress on the temple's ground floor and the ongoing installation of pillars on the first floor.
A spokesperson for the Trust mentioned, "The ground floor and the sacred area of the temple are nearly finished, with final touches being applied. Pillars are currently being installed on the first floor, and our aim is to complete the first-floor construction by January when the temple is expected to open for devotees."
The Trust reported that 160 pillars have already been set up on the temple's ground floor, with plans for 132 pillars on the first floor and 74 pillars on the second floor.
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a Rs 20-crore laser and sound show at the grand Ram ki Paidi Ghat on the Saryu riverbank in Ayodhya. This show will be free for all visitors, as per officials.
The Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation Limited (UPPCL), a state government entity, has initiated the installation of steel pillars near the Nageshwar Nath temple on the ghat.
According to Dileep Gaur, project manager at UPPCL, two pillars, each measuring 65 feet, akin to German hangers, will be erected at the ghat, with a 30 ft x 200 ft curtain set to be placed between them.
The Yogi Adityanath government had granted approval for the project last year, and funds have been allocated this year for its execution."
