Ayodhya, November 10: As the 'Deepotsav' in Ayodhya approaches, individuals can participate in the event by paying amounts ranging from Rs 51 for one diya to Rs 1,100 for 51 diyas.

The unique aspect is that these diyas will be lit at a location of your choice, all with the click of a mouse on the virtual platform developed by the Ayodhya Development Authority for this purpose.

The dedicated portal, hosting the e-Deepotsav, caters to those who wish to engage in the grand event from distant locations. The portal provides a live stream of the events taking place in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, during Deepotsav.

An exclusive online program has been crafted to connect devotees of Lord Rama from India and around the world with Deepotsav, according to R.P. Yadav, deputy director of the tourism department.

"The concept is to enable people to purchase e-lamps by booking packages in this e-Deepotsav and feel connected to this auspicious event," he mentioned.

Individuals can purchase a lamp for Rs 51, 11 lamps for Rs 101, 21 lamps for Rs 501, and 51 lamps for Rs 1,100. Those making the bookings will have the opportunity to remotely click and illuminate the lamps from their homes at locations such as Ram Ki Paidi, Saryu Ghats, Mutts, Temples, and other religious sites.

Additionally, participants will receive prizes like lamps, cardamom seeds or laddu prasad, a model of the Ram temple, souvenirs of Ramnami Gamcha, Ram Darwar, etc., delivered via courier based on the chosen package.
