AR Dairy MD Files Anticipatory Bail Plea in Andhra Pradesh High Court in Tirupati Laddu Case

VIJAYAWADA: Rajasekharan R, Managing Director of AR Dairy Foods Private Limited, filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday, seeking anticipatory bail in a case related to the alleged supply of adulterated ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). AR Dairy, based in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, has been accused of violating the tender agreement with TTD.
In his plea, Rajasekharan requested an interim stay on his arrest and all proceedings against him, arguing that the case was registered unjustly and without giving him an opportunity to explain. He claimed that the samples in question were not collected or tested according to the provisions of The Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006, and that the case was politically motivated.
Rajasekharan appealed to the High Court to consider these points and grant him anticipatory bail along with an interim stay on the case.
The complaint was lodged by TTD marketing and procurement general manager Murali Krishna at the Tirupati East Police Station on September 25. The complaint alleged that AR Dairy supplied adulterated ghee despite warnings from higher officials about the quality of the product.
