VIJAYAWADA: Former MP Nandigam Suresh, arrested in connection with the attack on the TDP headquarters, filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday requesting bail. In his petition, Suresh claimed that he was not involved in the attack and argued that the case against him was motivated by political vendetta. Although the attack case was registered in 2021, his name was only recently added, he noted.
Suresh has expressed his willingness to comply with any conditions the court may impose if bail is granted. Additionally, YSRC supporter A. Srinivas Reddy, also arrested in connection with the attack, has filed a separate petition seeking bail. Justice V. Radha Krishna Krupa Sagar has directed the police to present the case details to the bench and has scheduled a hearing for September 17.
