Widespread Rain and Hailstorm Expected Across Telangana

Severe Hailstorms Cause Widespread Damage in Telangana

Telangana witnessed severe hailstorms in multiple districts, leading to significant damage. Areas such as Nizamabad, Karimnagar, and Mancherial were hit hard by hailstorms and strong winds. The heavy rains soaked paddy fields, while mango orchards suffered losses as flowers and fruits fell to the ground. Luxettipet in Mancherial district experienced particularly intense hailstorms.

The Hyderabad Meteorological Center had earlier warned about thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms across various parts of Telangana. The forecast suggests that several districts will likely experience hailstorms in the coming days. According to the weather department, districts such as Mancherial, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Jangaon may witness isolated hailstorms tomorrow.

Additionally, the weather department predicts that districts including Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal may also receive scattered rainfall.

As of now, there are no official reports indicating train cancellations or flight delays in Telangana due to the recent hailstorms. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for several districts, predicting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds (40-50 kmph), and hailstorms between March 22 and March 23.
