Major Train Accident in Odisha – 11 Coaches of Kamakhya Express Derail
A major train accident occurred in Odisha as 11 coaches of the Kamakhya Express (12251) derailed. The train was traveling from Bengaluru to Guwahati when the incident took place near Nergundi Station (Khurda Division) in Cuttack at 11:54 AM on Saturday.
No Casualties Reported – Officials Confirm
According to railway officials, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. All passengers are safe. As soon as the incident occurred, railway authorities rushed to the scene and initiated rescue operations. East Coast Railway CPRO Ashok Kumar Mishra confirmed that relief trains and emergency medical assistance were dispatched immediately.

Senior officials, including DRM Khurda Road, GM, and other top railway officers, have reached the accident site to assess the situation. The cause of the derailment is still under investigation. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to restore train services on affected routes.
