Hyderabad ORR Toll Charges:
Alert for Vehicle Owners:
Are you planning to take the Outer Ring Road (ORR)? Well, be prepared for higher toll charges. The managing company of the Hyderabad ORR, IRB Infra Limited, has decided to increase the toll charges. These new charges will be effective from April 1, as announced by the company.
The ORR around the city of Hyderabad can be divided into two main parts: the first part is from Pedda Amberpet to Patancheru, which spans approximately 81.3 kilometers and takes around 1 hour and 10 minutes to travel. The second major part is from Patancheru to Shamshabad Airport, as many people use this route to head towards the airport.
The ORR has a total of 19 toll gates along its stretch of 158 kilometers. It is an 8-lane expressway managed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). In 2023, the state government signed a 30-year toll-operate-transfer agreement with IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, under which the company paid ₹7,380 crore to the government.
