PM Internship Scheme 2025: Over 1 Lakh PM Internship Opportunities for Unemployed Youth.. Who Are Eligible?

Under the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2025, nearly one lakh internship opportunities will be provided to the youth of the country this year. These internships will be offered in partnership with the top 500 companies across the country for a duration of one year. Over the next five years, a total of 10 lakh internships will be provided. The central government has launched the prestigious Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2025 with the aim of equipping the youth with new skills and creating employment opportunities. As part of this, internships will be provided to 10 lakh youth over the next five years.

The PM Internship Scheme 2025 notification for this year has already been released, and online registrations have begun. Youth can apply for over one lakh internship opportunities across more than 300 companies. The last date for online applications is March 12, 2025, as per the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Candidates applying for the internships need to first register their names on the website before applying. There is no fee for registration.

According to the guidelines, youth between the ages of 21 and 24 are eligible to apply for the internships. Candidates with qualifications such as 10th grade pass, ITI, Polytechnic, BA, BSc, BCA, BBA, or BPharm are also eligible to apply. However, individuals from families with government employees, families earning more than ₹8 lakh annually, or those who have studied in prestigious institutions like IITs and IIMs are ineligible for this internship.

The central government has initiated this scheme with the aim of providing skill development to one crore youth across the top 500 companies over the next five years. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹5,000 per month for one year. Additionally, a one-time grant of ₹6,000 will be provided before joining the company, totaling up to ₹66,000 in stipend over the course of one year.

Companies participating voluntarily in the scheme will offer internships for one year, with candidates required to spend a minimum of 6 months in a classroom environment and another 6 months in a work environment. Interns will also be provided with personal insurance coverage. The government will provide insurance through schemes like PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, and it will also pay the required premium
