M. Gopalakrishna Naidu, born on January 12, 1939, is a 1962 IAS officer. An ace administrator, trouble-shooter, corporate chief, consultant, and turnaround expert. An erudite speaker on diverse topics, a sought-after Mentor and Guru for serving Civil servants and aspirants. A father figure for many NGOs. A Science and Law graduate and an AMP of Banff School, Canada, he scored a record 100% in Law for IAS Probationers. He held senior positions in Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and the Central Government and handled law and order issues on the Nagaland border and was recalled from A.P. during President’s Rule for conducting elections in Assam. He was Special Chief Secretary in A.P., and in the central government, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines, and Chairman of the Rural Electrification Corporation. As Founder Managing Director, he built Godavari Fertilizers ahead of schedule and within the estimated cost. It is now a case study in Project Management.
