Interview: Kavya Thapar on Double Ismart – "It Will Be a Double Blockbuster"
Gorgeous actress Kavya Thapar is eagerly anticipating the release of her upcoming movie *Double Ismart*, set to hit theaters on August 15, 2024. Starring alongside Ustaad Ram Pothineni, Kavya shared her excitement and insights about the film in our recent conversation. Here’s what she had to say:
How did you land the role in Double Ismart?
I auditioned for Puri sir and Charmme madam, and they were impressed with my performance. Initially, I had gained some weight due to a minor accident, which they asked me to address. After working hard for two months, I was able to fit the role perfectly. It’s been an amazing experience working with stars like Ram sir and Sanjay Dutt, and collaborating with Puri sir and Mani Sharma sir has been fantastic. Interestingly, I had also auditioned for *iSmart Shankar* but didn’t get the role then.
Can you describe your character in this film?
My character is bold and strong, with a mix of intelligence and innocence. She’s smart and independent, and I even have fight scenes, which I’ve always wanted to do. I truly enjoyed every moment of portraying her.
What was it like working with Ram Pothineni?
Working with Ram sir was a wonderful experience. He is passionate, hardworking, and full of energy. On the first day of shooting a high-energy song, I was unwell, but Charmme ma’am took excellent care of me. I recovered after a few days and gave my best performance. The entire team was incredibly supportive.
What did you learn from working with Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur?
From Puri sir, I learned the importance of patience and having a clear vision. He remains calm on set and has profound insights about life. Charmme ma’am is a powerhouse and very caring; she’s also friendly and supportive. I truly admire her.
How do you think Double Ismart will perform?
I believe Double Ismart will be a double blockbuster. It’s different from iSmart Shankar, and I had a great time working on it. I’m excited for its release on August 15, 2024.
What can we expect from you in the future?
I’m currently working on a film called Viswam with Gopichand sir and have several other projects lined up.
