This is the First Time CSK Lost Like This in IPL History

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are facing a tough phase in the ongoing IPL 2025 season, with back-to-back defeats raising serious concerns. In their latest outing, CSK faced a crushing loss against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at their home ground.

Batting first, Chennai was bundled out for just 103 runs, putting up a disappointing performance. KKR chased down the target effortlessly, losing only two wickets and achieving the score within half of their allotted overs.

This marks CSK’s fifth consecutive loss out of the six matches played so far – a rare and unfortunate record. It’s the first time in IPL history that the team has suffered five straight defeats in a single season.

To add to their woes, 103 is now CSK’s lowest total ever at their home venue.

As a result, Chennai has slipped to the second-last position in the IPL points table. The poor form has sparked concern among fans and cricket pundits alike, with many wondering how the team, under MS Dhoni’s leadership, plans to bounce back from this rough patch.
