Reports Suggest Vamsi Was Arrested in the Same Case

YSRCP leader and former Gannavaram MLA, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, has been arrested in connection with the attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gannavaram. Andhra Pradesh police took him into custody from 'My Home Bhuj' in Rayadurg, Hyderabad. It is reported that he is being transferred to Vijayawada via the Outer Ring Road.

However, it is unclear whether he was arrested specifically for the TDP office attack case or another case.

The attack on the Gannavaram TDP office took place on February 20, 2023. A total of 88 individuals, including Vamsi, were named as accused in the case. Vamsi had filed a petition in court requesting a stay on his arrest, and the hearing was scheduled for the 20th of this month. However, before the hearing, the police took him into custody, which has now drawn attention.
