In the sacred Tirumala Tirupati temple, devotees throng to have the darshan (sight) of Lord Sri Venkateswara, the divine deity of the Kali Yuga. For several days, people wait in long queues to catch a glimpse of Lord Sri Vari. However, now, the devotees who visit Tirumala to have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara can directly enter the temple without standing in long queues at the Kondakamala, a place that was usually crowded.
Devotees find it much easier to have the darshan of Swamivaru (Lord Venkateswara) without any hassle or waiting.
This has been made possible by the introduction of the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) no-waiting rule. Due to the implementation of this rule, devotees can have a hassle-free darshan, avoiding the need to buy tickets or stand in long lines. At present, devotees can directly visit and have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
On a particular Sunday, as many as 85,258 devotees had the darshan of Lord Sri Vari. This resulted in revenue of approximately 428 million rupees for TTD. However, the practice of issuing darshan tokens for three days in advance has been discontinued on Tirumala hill, which has led to the cancellation of devotees' prior bookings. Nevertheless, this has made it very convenient for devotees to have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara with ease and without any wait, thanks to the introduction of the TTD's no-waiting rule.
