Telangana Jawan Passes Away After Falling Ill on the Border

NALGONDA: An Army jawan from Nalgonda district, Erati Mahesh (24), passed away after falling ill while stationed on the Assam border.
Mahesh, a resident of Madarigudem in Anumula mandal, began experiencing severe symptoms of cold on July 9 while on duty. He was subsequently admitted to a government dispensary at the Medical College in Dibrugarh, Assam.
His parents, Yadaiah and Parvathamma, recounted their last conversation with him on July 12. They mentioned that he had last visited his native village in March. On July 13, Mahesh developed acute abdominal pain and was moved to the ICU.
The family was notified of his critical condition on July 15. His elder brother rushed to Assam on July 17, but by then, Mahesh was already unconscious and on a ventilator. Despite medical efforts, Mahesh passed away on July 25 while still receiving treatment.
