Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh's government has given the green light to fill 597 open positions within Group-I and Group-II services. The task of recruiting for these roles falls to the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). Among these openings, 89 belong to Group-I, while the remaining 508 are part of Group-II. The official directive from Principal Secretary Chiranjeevi Choudhary empowers the APPSC to manage recruitment on a departmental and role-specific basis, aimed at addressing staffing gaps across various government departments.

The upcoming appointments for Group-I services will include positions like Deputy Collectors, Assistant Commissioners (Sales Tax), and Sub-Divisional Police Officers. Simultaneously, Group-II services are expected to bring in new personnel for roles such as Assistant Section Officers, Deputy Tehsildars, and Excise Sub-Inspectors, among others.
