The State Election Commission of Andhra Pradesh has released notifications for the elections of representatives in rural local bodies. Due to various reasons, there are vacant positions of Sarpanches (village heads) and Ward Members in gram panchayats, which are being filled through direct elections.
In this process, a total of 66 Sarpanch positions and 1063 Ward Member positions have become vacant in 1033 gram panchayats. The recruitment for these positions has been scheduled, and the notification was released on July 26 by the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission.
When it comes to election schedules... in the village panchayats, for the positions of sarpanches and ward members, returning officers will release notifications on August 8th. Starting from the same day, nominations can be filed from 10:30 AM to 5 PM until August 10th. Scrutiny of nominations for August 11th will take place. Until 5 PM on August 10th, nominations will be accepted.
On August 14th, until 3 PM in the afternoon, there is an opportunity to withdraw nominations. On the same day, at 3 PM, officials will announce the final list of candidates who will be contesting in the elections. Starting from 7 AM on August 19th until 1 PM in the afternoon, polling will occur. On the same day, counting of votes will commence from 2 PM onwards. In case of any issues or concerns, a repoll will be conducted on August 20th, wherever necessary.

ఎన్నికల షెడ్యూల్ విషయానికి వస్తే... గ్రామ పంచాయతీల్లో సర్పంచ్‌లు, వార్డు మెంబర్‌ల స్థానాలకు రిటర్నింగ్‌ అధికారులు ఆగస్టు 8న నోటిఫికేషన్ విడుదల చేస్తారు. అదే రోజు నుండి, ఆగస్టు 10వ తేదీ వరకు ఉదయం 10:30 నుండి సాయంత్రం 5 గంటల వరకు నామినేషన్లు దాఖలు చేయవచ్చు. ఆగస్టు 11న నామినేషన్ల పరిశీలన జరుగుతుంది. ఆగస్టు 10వ తేదీ సాయంత్రం 5 గంటల వరకు నామినేషన్లు స్వీకరిస్తారు.
ఆగస్టు 14వ తేదీ మధ్యాహ్నం 3 గంటల వరకు నామినేషన్ల ఉపసంహరణకు అవకాశం ఉంది. అదే రోజు మధ్యాహ్నం 3 గంటలకు ఎన్నికల్లో పోటీ చేసే అభ్యర్థుల తుది జాబితాను అధికారులు ప్రకటిస్తారు. ఆగస్టు 19వ తేదీ ఉదయం 7 గంటల నుండి మధ్యాహ్నం 1 గంటల వరకు పోలింగ్ జరుగుతుంది. అదే రోజు మధ్యాహ్నం 2 గంటల నుంచి ఓట్ల లెక్కింపు ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. ఏవైనా సమస్యలు లేదా ఆందోళనలు ఉన్నట్లయితే, అవసరమైన చోట ఆగస్టు 20వ తేదీన రీపోల్ నిర్వహించబడుతుంది.
