CPI leaders have urged the AP CM to investigate the land scam that occurred during the YSRC regime

VIJAYAWADA: On Wednesday, CPI National Secretary K. Narayana and other party leaders met with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, urging him to conduct a thorough investigation into an alleged land scam that occurred during the previous YSRC regime.
They claimed that in Kadapa district alone, thousands of acres were encroached upon by YSRC leaders. The leaders alleged that, under the guise of the three capitals plan, lands across the state were illegally acquired. They also called for a detailed inquiry into the recent fire at the Madanapalle sub-collector office.
Narayana accused YSRC leaders of seizing land from poor and middle-class citizens through threats and coercion, emphasizing the urgent need for justice for the victims.
The meeting also addressed other issues, including the Amaravati capital project, the Polavaram project, energy concerns, increased RTC bus fares, and pending promises from the bifurcation. Additionally, the leaders requested the withdrawal of cases filed against CPI activists during the previous administration.
