Former YSRC MP Audimulapu Suresh Arrested in Connection with TDP Headquarters Attack

VIJAYAWADA: Former YSRC MP Audimulapu Suresh was arrested by Mangalagiri police on Thursday in connection with the 2021 attack on the TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri.
Suresh, along with other accused, had previously applied for anticipatory bail as the investigation into the case intensified following the TDP-led NDA government's rise to power. Their bail pleas were rejected by the court, leading Suresh and some other leaders to reportedly flee the state.
Acting on specific information, police apprehended Suresh in Hyderabad and transferred him to Mangalagiri.
In a related development, former minister Jogi Ramesh and his associates are also reported to be on the run after the High Court rejected his anticipatory bail petition. Ramesh, a YSRC MLA, allegedly led a group in a protest at the residence of then-opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu, resulting in a confrontation between YSRC and TDP supporters.
