Retaliation for Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: India Steps Up Diplomatic Actions
Following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India has further intensified its diplomatic actions against Pakistan. With Pakistan continuing to support terrorism, India has taken stronger measures in response. In addition to banning the entry of Pakistani nationals into the country and suspending the Indus Water Treaty, the Indian government has now issued a summons to a Pakistani diplomat in Delhi.
Persona Non Grata Action Against Pakistan Diplomat
On Wednesday, just past midnight, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs summoned Pakistan's diplomat, Sad Ahmad Warich, and issued ‘Persona Non Grata’ notices to Pakistani military diplomats. These notices label the recipients as undesirable individuals, and they are now required to leave India within a week. This diplomatic action is seen as a retaliatory measure by India in response to Pakistan’s support of terrorism.
Changing Diplomatic Relations Between India and Pakistan
This action marks a significant shift in the diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan. India continues to tighten its stance in light of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, sending a clear message that it will not tolerate terrorism. The Ministry of External Affairs has provided further clarification, signaling the possibility of more diplomatic actions in the future, which could lead to renewed discussions between the two nations.
