AP Government Introduces New Pension Distribution Guidelines
The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced new changes to the pension distribution process under the NTR Bharosa scheme. Starting from now, pensions will be distributed from 7:00 AM instead of the previous time of 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM. This change is meant to reduce inconvenience for both the village and ward secretariat staff, as well as the pension beneficiaries.
To implement these changes, the pension distribution mobile app will now only work from 7:00 AM onwards. Additionally, if pensions are distributed more than 300 meters away from the beneficiary’s residence, the reason will have to be immediately recorded in the system.
Moreover, a 20-second audio message with a government statement will be played through the app to inform the beneficiaries. This message will automatically play once the beneficiary’s details are entered.
These changes will first be tested in the Kurnool and Chittoor districts starting on March 1, and the new system will be expanded to the entire state after the trial phase.
