Chandrababu’s Big Health Plan
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a major health plan. He wants to build multi-specialty hospitals with 100 to 300 beds in every constituency across the state. Right now, 70 out of 175 constituencies already have 100-bed hospitals. The CM has ordered quick steps to set up similar hospitals in the remaining areas.
Virtual Healthcare & PPP Model
Chandrababu suggested using virtual healthcare to reach patients in rural areas when doctors are not available. He also wants hospitals to be built under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. To support private companies, he asked officials to offer subsidies like those given to industries.
Amaravati as a Global Health Hub
The CM aims to develop Amaravati into a world-class medical city, attracting patients from around the globe. He asked health officials to take steps for a “Mega Global MediCity” project. He also stressed early health awareness, cancer screening, and preventive care instead of waiting until illness strikes.
