Actress Case More Police Officers to Face Action in Andhra

VIJAYAWADA: The police department is set to take action against five additional personnel involved in the arrest, investigation, and alleged harassment of Bollywood actress and model Kadambari Jethwani.
Sources reveal that these five officers from the Ibrahimpatnam police station may face disciplinary measures for procedural violations related to the case filing, the actress's arrest from her Mumbai residence, and alleged mistreatment when she sought clarification on her arrest.
The sub-inspector involved is reported to have played a key role in the incident. Jethwani's complaint specifically names the sub-inspector, who is accused of manhandling her multiple times while she sought reasons for her arrest and demanded the return of seized property.
NTR District Commissioner of Police (CP) SV Rajashekhar Babu confirmed that a thorough investigation is ongoing, with further action to be taken against any personnel found to have breached professional conduct. So far, three IPS officers, one DSP, and one CI have been suspended in connection with the case.
In February, Jethwani traveled to Vijayawada to meet with the police commissioner. The CP stated, “We are investigating the roles of others based on the complaint.” Additionally, there are reports that the Ibrahimpatnam police may summon YSRC leader Kukkala Vidyasagar for questioning.
