Tiruvannamalai Guide Arrested for Assaulting Foreign Woman During Meditation Trip

A guide has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a foreign woman who came to meditate on Tiruvannamalai Hill in Tamil Nadu. The 40-year-old woman from France arrived in January and stayed at an ashram along the Girivalam path. She often meditated on the hill behind the temple and usually had the help of a local guide.

Three days ago, while returning from a meditation session with the guide, the accused allegedly assaulted her. The woman reported the incident, and the police quickly arrested the guide after an investigation. The victim was taken to the government hospital for a medical check-up.
